Travis County Courthouse Directions. The Travis County Courthouse is located in downtown Austin, between 10th and 11th streets off Guadalupe St. The criminal courts are located in the Blackwell-Thurman Justice Center, which is the taller of the two courthouses, with a total of nine floors.

The Travis County Courthouse holds the County Courts at Law, which handled Misdemeanor cases, and the District Courts, responsible for Felony cases.

Cases at the Travis County Courthouse are prosecuted by either the Travis County Attorney's Office, or the Travis County District Attorney's Office; the former for Misdemeanors, and the latter for Felony arrests and cases.

Cases at the Travis County Courthouse range from low level Misdemeanors, such as Thefts, Assaults, and Drugs and Marijuana arrests and DWI, to more serious arrests and felony offenses, such as Robbery, Family Assault, POCS, and Delivery (Sale) of Controlled Substances.
