We DO NOT practice outside of the Austin area, and cannot offer legal analysis for other counties. The main reason for this is that each county tends to have different local rules and customs.
We will provide you with an analysis of your charge or issue, and how we might be able to help if we are retained. This includes strategy, common issues, defenses, and potential outcomes. We will answer questions you have as well, and will provide a quote. The quote will also be accompanied (if applicable) with an estimate of filing fees, fines, and other costs. Free Consultations are by phone only.
Lastly, please keep in mind that during the consultation, we have not reviewed any reports or discovery/evidence. We can only provide insight based on your information. No guarantees or "percentages" are given during consultations as to any outcomes - just generalities based on our experience with other similar cases.
In-Office or In-Person Consultations are NOT free. In-Office or In-Person Consultations are $100, with payment due prior to meeting (Click Here for our Payment Page). The $100 In-Office or In-Person Consultation Fee is credited to your balance when you decide to hire Keates Law Firm. For example, if our total fee is $2,000 for services, and you pay the $100 consultation fee, then your balance would be $1,900. If you do not end up hiring us, the $100 Consultation fee is not refundable.
Also, Phone Consultations do not include advice on how to handle your own case, or details on what might happen if you represent yourself.
