Is Possession of Marijuana Illegal in Texas?

What is the legal amount of Marijuana I can carry or possess in Texas? Are there medical marijuana prescriptions in Texas?

Answer:

The short answer is no. Texas considers possessing any part of the marijuana plant (even seeds) in any amount a crime. Likewise, there are currently no medical marijuana prescriptions. This includes possessing marijuana in Texas even if you have a Medical Marijuana License from out of state; Texas will not recognize the License and you will be arrested.
